I hope everyone who reads this had a great Thanksgiving with family or friends. Mine was spent in East TN and was fabulous! Thank you for all your votes for the theme of Beth and Ryan’s wedding. I have the results, but unfortunately can’t disclose them until next Thursday on WBKO MidDay Live. So be sure to watch from 11-12:00 pm to find out which theme won, you might be surprised!!   Watch also to find out what the choices to vote on next week will be.

Me, Beth, her mom and future mother in law are going dress shopping this coming Monday. I’ll be sure to take some pictures while we are at Bridals of Regiss Park so you can check out their gorgeous place. We will also be spending some time at Brickyard Cafe going over the general layout, and of course I’ll post some pictures while we are there too!

Beth & Ryan

Congratulations to Beth Carter and Ryan Stanesu for being the first ever MidDay Live Throws a Wedding couple!   The voting was extremely close and thank you to all who took the time to vote!   We had 20 different states represented in the voting, not counting a few votes from England!   This just showed the power of the internet and what facebook and twitter can actually do.   (Social Networking is more than just for telling your friends what you had for dinner!!)

I can’t wait to welcome Beth & Ryan to the Lasting Impressions family and start planning their gorgeous dream wedding.   February 13th 2010 will be here before we all know it, so be sure to keep up with the planning and keep casting your vote each week for the different elements.   This week the first vote is for the main theme.   The three choices are: 1920’s Old Hollywood Glamour, Asian Flair & Spanish Fiesta.   The voting will start this afternoon and as all voting will last for one week.   Check back soon and cast your vote …

Love Stories …

Here are the three finalists and a little bit about their love stories …

1. Melissa & Nathan

MelissaandNathan[1]Melissa and Nathan met while they were working at O’Charley’s.   Melissa had a crush on Nathan for years but he was in a relationship.   Nathan became single when Melissa was ready to move on.   She was moving out of state and Nathan asked her to stay the night before she left; that is all it took!

The Proposal – Melissa was giving birth to their second child and while she was “preoccupied” Nathan gave the nurse two onesies for their children to wear.   When Melissa saw them her daughter’s shirt said “Will you marry my Daddy?” and her newborn son’s had a “?” and a ring in the pocket.

2. Cari & AJ

AJandCarrieJo[1]Cari and AJ met five years ago while at a friends house.   Being a typical female, Cari blew him off!   Two years later they met up again and have been together ever since.

The proposal – AJ had been planning to propose to Cari and had told all of his family.   The couple went out to eat lunch one day with AJ’s family, who all knew his surprise.   During lunch his grandmother asked Cari about any possible engagement in the future and the rest of the family looked on with questionable faces.   A very uncomfortable Cari told AJ about the incident later when they got home.   AJ quickly disappeared and came back with a ring!

3. Beth & Ryan

RyanandBeth[1]Beth and Ryan met while Ryan was escorting his mom to her work’s Christmas party.   Beth was a bartender that evening and it must have been a thirsty night because they hit it off right away!

The proposal – Ryan knew that Beth was “the one” and around June 2009 he started checking out ring designs and prices.   He decided on a budget and jeweler and began to pick the perfect setting and stone for Beth.   They both joined Beth’s family on vacation in Destin, FL in October.   After asking Beth’s father for her hand he was ready to ask Beth, who had no clue.   They had a walk on the beach ending up at a gazebo.   As Beth was ready to leave she saw Ryan get on one knee and produce his ring!
